You’ve heard of superheroes, but do you know how they get so good at what they do? Every time a super hero is born, far away on the planet NEM2 - a nemesis is assigned to that hero. Now, nemeses get a bad name, but they play the villain because they have to. It is the challenges that arise from the nemeses that push our heroes to become better, to grow and hone their fantastic skills. 

Now NEM2 is no easy place to be. In addition to the Pickle Forest and the Ice Mountains, Nem2 City rises above a flaming river of fire. Not all are born a nemesis, and the denizens of NEM2 have their own challenges to overcome. The buildings are high on stilts to prevent needless destruction by flaming river swells, which unfortunately are frequent. Due to the hostile climate, the people have taken to hoarding and each family guards a giant pile of stuff outside their home. Unbeknownst to most, the river is a sentient being and responds poorly to the selfish stockpiling of resources. It become more violent the more people refuse to share, often destroying the very things people feel they need to amass. These caches are vaporized in the heat and turned into a gelatinous material which congeals into fat cloud-like weather phenomena that eventually rain down gummy bears. This would seem a silver lining, but because the gummy bears are the distilled essence of selfishness and fire, they taste sour and spicy. 

There is some light in the world here, for benevolent aliens continue to forge huNemetarian efforts to calm the inhabitants. On a daily basis space ships can be seen beaming up the people from NEM2 City and giving them the best massages they’ve ever had in an attempt to curb the anxiety-induced hoarding. This, along with enjoying a wide variety of television programming, helps folks relax. 

So when you’re looking at the stars next, think about the heroes and the anti-heroes. Consider the unsung nemeses living in a complicated, challenging world, devising ways to pester our heroes and make them stronger.
